That was cool. It had a great build up like it was going to be some epic story and then ended in such a lighthearted way. I especially liked the last couple lines about the warnings of strange creatures being out. It really highlights the perception you have of others before you meet them. You description is great too.

Long story?..No. Delightful?..Yes. (Sorry, Fiber One ad rip-off) I thought this was a cool story---I loved going from an almost clash of the creatures to a meeting of friends...this story made me smile...nice punt, Scott!

loved it scott. you had me hooked. i kept thinking, how were you going to end it? and praying it wasn't something super cheesy. loved the ending. graceful and tasteful. also, you always have the perfect names for everyone. i like your style.

Sniff...where's the darned tissues when you need 'em? Another great story, Scott. I really liked this one too. (Even though I teared up a bit! Or maybe because of that...hmmm...) I do have to ask though, did you mean to call the younger brother Hugh Crain? Just curious! (May I suggest 'Finn Lund' for a future story if you did that on purpose?!) Again, can't wait until Friday! No pressure!

I did not pick up on the last name bit. well hidden in obvious site. Nice pick out Teri. I get a very classic sci-fi feel from this. A little Bradbury a touch of Kafka mixed in your smooth easy voicing. And the description of the box was excellent.

this was a very "feelgood" story not what I was expecting after the 6 eyed aliens but very well written.would make a great lifetime movie. and please dont take that as a knock, cuz its not. cant wait to read next week!
